Where to start
PDF Workspace is the main tool. Add PDFs — plus PNG, JPG or WebP images, DjVu documents, TIFF scans, or Word, Excel and PowerPoint files — and everything becomes pages you can reorder, rotate, remove or select, then export as one PDF or as PNG, JPG or WebP images.
The task pages below — merging, extracting pages, PDF to PNG and the rest — open that same workspace with the output and starting point already set. Images to PDF is a separate, simpler tool for turning a set of pictures into one PDF, with optional 2× or 4× upscaling.
How the processing works
Files are read and written inside your browser tab. The PDFs, images and documents you add are never uploaded; the finished file is assembled on your own device and handed to your browser’s download. When you export a PDF, pages from a PDF are copied structurally rather than re-rendered, so their text stays selectable.
Two things can be downloaded as program code — never your files: the first Word, Excel or PowerPoint import fetches a local Office engine of about 57 MB, and asks you before it starts; Images to PDF fetches a small upscaling model only if you turn upscaling on.
Practical limits
- Image, TIFF and DjVu files can be up to 100 MB each, and a workspace holds up to 2,000 pages at a time.
- PDFs that need a password to open are not supported. A damaged file, or one that is not really a PDF, is rejected rather than half-loaded.
- Exporting pages as PNG, JPG or WebP turns text into pixels: the images can no longer be searched or copied as text.
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint import needs desktop Chrome or Edge. DjVu pages come in as page images, so OCR text, bookmarks and links from a DjVu are not kept.
What is not here
Splitting a PDF into several files in one step, compressing a PDF, editing the text on a page, filling in forms and running OCR are not available. You can export any selection of pages as one new PDF, one selection at a time.
Questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened and processed inside your browser. Nothing is transmitted for processing, and there is no server-side copy.
Can I export just a few pages?
Yes. Tick the pages you want, or use Select range with something like 1,5-9,12, then export them as one PDF or as images. Numbers beyond the last page are simply trimmed to the pages the document has.
Can I merge two PDFs?
Yes. Add both files, drag the pages into the order you want, and export one PDF. Document metadata and bookmarks come from the first PDF that still has pages in the result; they are not merged across files.
Why is my exported PNG so large?
PNG is lossless, so a full page with detailed graphics produces a big file. That is the format doing its job, not a setting that has gone wrong. JPG or WebP give smaller images if you can accept some compression.
Can I compress a PDF?
No. There is no compression option. PDF pages are copied as they are when you export a PDF, so exporting does not make them smaller.
